Check ChemDraw Compatibility:

Ensure that your ChemDraw version is compatible with your MS Office version. Sometimes, older versions of ChemDraw may not work seamlessly with newer versions of MS Office. Make sure both software programs are up-to-date.

Update ChemDraw and MS Office:

Ensure that you have the latest versions of both ChemDraw and MS Office installed. Compatibility issues can arise due to outdated software versions. Updating to the latest versions may resolve the problem.

Copy and Paste Method:

1. Open your ChemDraw file.
2. Select the drawing you want to copy.
3. Use the standard copy command (Ctrl+C on Windows or Command+C on Mac) to copy the drawing.
4. Go to your Word document.
5. Use the standard paste command (Ctrl+V on Windows or Command+V on Mac) to paste the drawing
into Word.

Check ChemDraw Clipboard Preferences:

1. Open ChemDraw.
2. Go to the “Edit” menu.
3. Select “Preferences” and then choose “Clipboard.”
4. Ensure that the “Copy/Paste” option is set to “Enhanced Metafile (EMF).”
5. Click “OK” to save the changes.

Use Paste Special in Word:

1. In Word, place your cursor where you want to insert the ChemDraw drawing.
2. Go to the “Home” tab and click on the arrow below the “Paste” button in the Clipboard group.
3. Select “Paste Special” from the drop-down menu.
4. In the “Paste Special” dialog box, choose the “Enhanced Metafile” option.
5. Click “OK” to insert the ChemDraw drawing into your Word document.

Try Copying as an Image:

1. If the above steps don’t work, copy the ChemDraw drawing as an image:
2. In ChemDraw, select the drawing you want to copy.
3. Right-click on the selected drawing and choose “Copy as Image.”
4. Switch to your Word document and paste the image using the standard paste command (Ctrl+V or
